I hate that I've had to post so many negative reviews about Los Lunas establishments, but it is the way it is. Tractor beer? Good to great, depending. This section is for Ribs though, which is the food "arm" (actually, an arm would taste better) of Tractor Brewing, and as is APPROPRIATE, I will be reviewing Ribs, their service, and their serving of Tractor beer, I've never been to the Tractor portion of this place to just get beer. So what to say? If you've seen my Pizza 9 review, you'll not be surprised here. The food takes forever to get once you've convinced someone that "works" here to take your order. The food you get is a disappointment. Not a "dangit, I shouldn't have eaten that much" or a "well, that's what I get for eating McDonald's again" disappointment, but a "are the jalapenos in poppers supposed to be rock hard" and "why is my beer FLAT" disappointment. How many times have you ever sent a beer back? Maybe a time or two, when it is just bad tasting or skunky. But how many times have you sent one back because it was flat/stale/dead? I've done it 3 times. 2 of those are here, once at Kellys in Albuquerque (how do you get a flat BOTTLED Negro Modello?). There's not much to say, the ribs we had the first time were bad, like someone had reformed the beef from a wad of jerky they had already sucked the flavor out of around a bone bad. The ribs were room temperature, so I guess that's a positive? Maybe? The main course didn't get delivered until 45 minutes after we ordered, and we were 2 of 8 customers in the entire place. The sauce was definitely something bottled, and the jalapeno popper appetizer we ordered showed up 20 minutes into our "meal". After trying to bite through one of the poppers, and not being able to get my sharp teeth through the skin, we called the waitress over. 5 minutes of ignoring us later, she arrived, and said she had never heard of such a problem and they'd make us new ones. When this was obviously unacceptable to us, she said she'd see what she could do, but since we ate 1/2 of one, we'd probably have to pay. Lastly, the french fries are cold somewhat battered potato wedges, not soggy, but not crisp either. Yeah... So that didn't happen, we paid the bill and left. I've been back a few times for beers on the Ribs side with some friends that seem to like it, and I see them eat it, and I see them complain, they just came to go somewhere with friends and have a sit down meal with some beer. Since the opening of Marisco's, Applebees, and other places in Los Lunas though, no one I know goes here anymore for anything else than beer, and most of them just get a growler and leave. With beer production moving to ABQ, I doubt this place will be open much longer. For a better rib, get a McRib sandwich remove the patty, and push a few chicken wing bones through it, it'll be WAY better than this place. I think this is good enough, I won't mention the cold sausage and chicken breast hockey pucks we got the other times we attempted to eat with friends there.

I've eaten here three times since we moved to Los Lunas, and every time it's gotten progressively worse. The beer is barely up to par with the other microbreweries you will find in ABQ. The food, while occasionally decent, really lacks consistency. The staff....well, the staff sucks. Inattentive servers, arrogant owners(?)....just a bunch of pretty girls who don't know how to wait tables. While I'm not sure where, there is has to be better fare in LL (any suggestions?).

I think the problem with some folks in reviewing this place is that they're not coming for the bbq and beer. Why else come? If you got a salad and you're disappointed that's your fault. The beer is fresh and tractor has some wonderful brews. I like their amber. Order the bbq by the plate. The hot links are awesome as is the brisket and I love their vinegary spicy sauce. If you like sweet KC style sauces don't come here. It loses a star because some items on the menu are lacking, but again come for the bbq. The servers are picked for their looks rather than their competence, and sometimes don't have much experience with the menu items. It is frustrating when your sender can't give ordering advice. This place is really a three star place but the bbq is the only thing I come for so I rate according to that.

I was ok with the food, not great but good. What really upset me is my son ordered off of the children's menu and then ordered a drink. The waitress charged him for an adult drink. When I pointed out to her that she charged him for an adult drink - she replied "oh well the kids drinks are really small" So I said... "but they have free refills - that is what I would have ordered" She just shrugged me off and did not change it on the bill. I really don't get it - if a 9 yr old orders off the kids menu - then orders a drink - isn't the drink also a children's drink??? wtf. I really did not want to tip her - but I did anyways. She was a good waitress besides that but I just can't get over it :(

Gross food. Order the beer and get something safe to eat. Everything is microwaved and purchased from Cisco to fry and use as their own. Seriously?! Fish and chips not made from the awesome beer you have right there?! It's not that hard. BBQ sauce tasted like it came from a bottle.

New Mexico Phillysteak and Tractor Beers?! Bring it on!!! Tractor brews some amazing beers... the Oatmeal Stout is THE best rated Stout by Albuquerque the Magazine. Stopped in on a random Tuesday for a liquid lunch. After savoring a Pale Ale and Red Ale, the delightful wafting smell of food convinced me to peruse the menu. Some of the best Philly style steak sandwiches outside Philadelphia are lovingly constructed in Buffalo. Ribs New Mexico Philly was spot on and would give a Buffalo made Phillysteak a run for the money. BTW: I watched them prepare my sandwich, so I can guarantee that it was not microwaved. I didn't try any of the BBQ because, well... to me New Mexico and BBQ just do not seem like a likely couple.

Oh the bugs! On the table, on the wall, on the floor and on the bar. Gross, we brought it up the both waiters and we were told they were "water bugs" and they couldn't do anything. Food was good, big open building. Both waitresses were more into serving the regulars than us.

I like the local flavor here. The original tractor brewing has much better charm than the location in Nob Hill. If I lived closer, I would come here more often.

Always a great place to eat. Have their own beer on tap. The popular one is honey wheat and it's very good I'd give that one a shot. If I'm not getting their amazing BBQ then I'm going with the bison burger with bacon cheese and green chile
